Easter Nest

First we took a nature hike to get stuff to make our nests with. We all took our paper bags and took the walk. Most beautiful weather outside today to do just that. When getting back we got straight to work on our little nests. The kids had a blast and they turned out so pretty.

This book I brought home from a confrence training I went to this last weekend in Jonesboro. It is so cute, talking about feelings if you would like to borrow the story just let me know.

AR kis science week.

The kids have had such a good time expermenting on our projects and today some of them was able to share it with their parents here are some of the awesome pictures. I will get more posted tomorrow. Thank you for all showing up and participating.

Tanner  is applying food coloring to some bubbles, mixing the color and then blowing it with a straw. Showing the children the results of mixing and the effect of what happens when air hits it.
Brenna is having a good time there making slime!
Tesli and her mother are experimenting with heat and color crayon. The smooth effect that the heat has on making the crayon go on smooth and with stong color.
Puppets are so much fun to play with and make. Her Abbie is helping her daughter Tesli make a puppet to take home.
Brayden and Peyton are also making the famous delightful goo. SLIME!

Snow cones

We had some pretty awesome days of sunshine last week so we went to the shed and dug out the ICE CREAM MACHINE!!!. What a joy to beable to make and eat our own ice cream comes. Rootbeer seemed to be the favorite.

Just getting started, haha I had to figure out how to use it. Simple, Kathy let me know I had to put the lid on first before it would start... Safety first SHERYLL! . It was a blast and eating the snow cones was the BOMB

Now for having to act cool here is Payton!!!. So cool ...

Adventure Walk with Nature

Nature walking is so much fun and just beautiful when the weather is just right. We enjoyed our day here.

To the left is Hammie,
Hammie is still doing
really good. He loves sunflower seeds so much, we had to give him unshelled ones because we got concerned about him eating the shell.
To the right is two little kittens that were left alone and were to little, so we have been dropper feeding the little things. The kids loved getting to watch.

Other things that have been going on are nature hikes and talking about growing things. Here is a few pictures of our walk through the neighborhood.
This was such a hugh tree to be right next to. And looking around some of the smaller trees we found a big catch of pine cones. So of course we all had to gather some and put them in our science area at school so we can explore and learn more about them.
