Happy Birthday to Klaira

Little Klaira has gone through some major adjustments lately.

She has started preschool, got glasses and has turned the big

2!!!

We are proud of her.

Klaira is sharing her party with everyone here. Her grandmother Elaine has furnished a

beautiful cake with two Hugh candles that are so cute.

Beautiful paper plates and napkins, blow horns,  juice, cheese puffs, and ice cream !!!

The kids had a blast and to top it all off she had her friend Madison help with blowing out candles.

Art time! Lets make play dough, here is our recipe

2 Cup of Flour

One cup of salt

One cup of water

2 tablespoons alum

2 tablespoons salad or vegetable oil

food coloring

Ok time to get the gloves on and were doing

a pretty good job of it.

Getting Acquainted

Sharing Time: Today we started out getting acquainted with our new students. And the new students getting acquainted with us. We discussed preschool and Ms. Sheryll read some books.

Story Time included "Friends",  "My First Day of Nursery School"

And "To School".

Today during Circle Time we talked about getting our

pictures taken with our family.

If you could please send to preschool a couple

of family photos that your child can share with us

and keep in their portfolios to look at

that would be wonderful.

We also are getting locker pictures taken

for the new kids, and new ones taken

for the ones that have old picture there.

Today for our food experiences, we tasted salty foods.

We talked about our sense of taste, and taste buds.

We also talked about the sense of touch. We got to explore some

different kinds of textures. The feeling of the rough vs smooth.

Harrison Early Childhood Services

Today we had a visit from Trish Lockridge, Lynn Chandler, & Melodee Owens. They provide the following services at no charge to us or the parents.

Communication Skills

Fine / Gross Motor skills

Behavioral / social skills

Cognitive / Readiness skills

Self-Help skills

Vision or Hearing

If you feel like your child is in need of some help in any of these areas this is a wonderful program that can really help. They will do a screening with your permission and will come to work with your child one on one each week. We have had the opportunity to have these wonderful ladies here before and look forward to helping any child that needs a little more attention to accomplish their goals of growing and learning.

Ms. Betty came and read to the kids today, she is from a program that Boone Co. Library offers called "Friends From The Library". We enjoy Ms. Betty every Wednesday morning.

Welcome

Today has been extremely busy welcoming some new students. Today was a exciting day viewing some pictures of some of our students that went to "Big" school. So Cute.,

Enjoy!!!

Lets start with two sweet little girls Haven and Grace,

today was Haven's first day so Grace

was trying to warm up with a book.

After a little warming up time and finding out that she had girls

her own size Haven was able to have fun with new friends

We also got a new friend today, her name is Klaira.

Klaira is two and it didn't take her long to

make friends today.

She even made friends with fish today...

This was early morning so there were a couple of frowns but we got past those.

Raelyn, Madison, Haven, Grace and Klaira. Everyone of them are two years old.

Yay we are so excited to have a handful of girls.

We also welcomes Chase in today, He is three years old and fits in

very well with our big boys. We have 5 three year old boys!!!

THAT I HAD FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT TILL

TRACY WHITAKER SHOWED UP AT 5PM.

ALL IS WELL WE GOT IT DONE! YAY



New School Year = New Changes

Ms. Betty came by to say "Hello" and "Good Bye" to some of our children that we have had for a long time, that are now going back to school. And some that she will still have the opportunity to read to every Wednesday when she comes to read. We appreciate Ms. Betty taking the time from Boone Co. Library to come and read stories to us.
