THING 1 AND THING 2

This morning as we were starting to bake Ms. Betty from the
Boone Co. Library showed up to read us some fabulous books
One called Clifford's Hiccups and the other was Clifford's Happy Easter.
We all love Ms Betty and she LOVES us sooo much.

Starting to make our cupcakes, Peyton starts with putting
the mix into the bowl.
That packaging was so tough he had to use scissors to open it.

Chandler doing his part in putting in the oil.

And of course the eggs, the messy part
We are learning and its fun...surprising when
it actually breaks. yikes

Then Caleb and Jaden making sure it gets
stirred up really good.

Then trying to get the batter in the little cup...

Keeton working on putting the oil in the second batch.

Klaira wasn't so sure about the egg thing
But she did want to try and she did a fabulous job.
Thank You Klaira!!!

OK seriously Bryan was having fun. the Camera caught
the look of concern on his face when I tried to get him
to break a egg... He had fun really he did.

Now stirring the batter was a little funner.

Caleb loved helping and got so excited about
getting to stir. The best part that he enjoyed was licking
a spoon afterwards.

The biggest smile of all, Keeton couldn't get enough of this.

OK now that we are all done, they are suppose to look
like THING 1, & THING 2. Hair!!!
Eating the cotton candy on top was yummy!!!

We have learned some about THING 1 and THING 2
They are CAT AND THE HAT'S BEST EST FRIENDS
AS WELL AS US!!!

We have had a fun day baking and painting and
eating fun stuff, by the way we had pancakes for
lunch, we were playing outside and did not notice
how much time had passed, by 12 noon we knew
we had to eat lunch soon and the freezer food
would take to long to cook. But with all
that syrup who is going to complain.

Sticky fingers!!!

Raelynn helped mix, bake, and decorate.
Now she is enjoying the final project and loves it!!
Continue for tomorrow the Celebration of Cat in the Hats Birthday on Friday!!.

Yesterday was so beautiful we spent most of our play time outdoors, knowing that today the temp was dropping by 20 degrees. It was such a treat for the kids to get out and run. Bonding time for all of them together. I have found a site online that is from Parent Magazine that has some articles about child development and milestones. Very informative stuff, If you google to parent magazine then at the top go to toddler and preschoolers, then they list all kinds of information that is awesome. If you join me on fb I will post articles as I can either on here or on fb that are awesome to look at and learn from.

Today has started out very nicely! After breakfast Kathy took her Toddler group to Circle Time where they are continuing her theme on the color green, as they sat in circle time the kids had a box full of green items, green rock, green sponge and all kinds of items to mention, then they would talk about the green items found and recognize the color. Kathy read two books: Barney Our World Is Green and My First Jumbo Book of Colors. They had a large tote of beads necklaces of all colors and they got to go pick out green Mardi gras beads.

Today the preschoolers traced our Big Letter A, and our little letter a and we talk about the sound that the letter A makes, I made a mistake of letting go of a Leap Frog DVD learning letters and sounds, it is awesome. I will have to try to get another. We are learning how to recognize our color words, and number words. It’s exciting to see how well they are picking up word recognition. After a great lunch and snack we headed back outside to enjoy the awesome weather we are having.

Breakfast: Cereal Banana and Milk
Lunch: Ham/Cheese Grilled Sandwiches
           Macaroni and Cheese
           Peaches and Milk
PM Snack: Ritz Crackers and Milk

Today although cold made for a great walk to gather some fresh air and pine cones!

Thank goodness for some awesome big pine trees in the
neighborhood. I love pine trees so much and I love the smell of pine.
Pine trees remind me of a childhood outing we would do as a family
My parents would take drives up to the Sierra Mountains growing up in California.

Hunting for the pine cones.

Look at our treasures.

And more treasures.
A little outside train made by the kids the other day...when it was super nice weather outside!

Today we started working on our Valentine's project, getting messy was the fun part. I was kidding with Peyton and said ,we might just have to put some paint behind our ears, as we were washing up he said, we can't be done yet we haven't put paint behind our ears yet... I said, Oh Miss Sheryll was just teasing, but he really wanted to try it. maybe next time Peyton :)

Working on our cutting with scissors and matching numbers with numbers of objects.

According to Keeton they are setting the table Restaurant Style.
Madison, Bryan, Bryanna and Keeton.
Killian is taking advantage of the art center. Great work Killian!!!

Bryanna has a little help from Bryan and Aiden, she is making a Giraffe.
See the long neck and the ears!

Now to finish off the day, Raelynn and Klaira are giving Tigger his bath, Raelynn says that Tigger is
very dirty and needs a bath today. Sweet girls...!!!
