Journals

Killian loves to get a crayon or marker in his little
hands. He absolutely loves coloring. Each child has his or her own journal in their
lockers. So at any time the children feel like they need to draw, write or express themselves
in their journals they are easy for them to get to where others cant write in theirs.
Letting children dictate information is one of the preschool literacy activities that teaches them to see the relationship between spoken and written words and reading or just letting loose with their markers. We encourage our children write in their journals each day.

Another thing I have introduced to the kids is a I-Pad.
The preschool activities are many.
This one the Peyton is using goes through the alphabet from A to Z
and has him trace the letter with his finger in the direction
he should be writing, very good app.

Working on our alphabet book.

Ms. Betty is the sweetest lady, she comes from the
Boone Co. Library and is a voluntary reader.
Ms. Betty comes in singing to the children, and
after a couple of books being read, she shakes hands
with each child as she sings them a song as she is leaving.
We all love her so much. Last Wednesday was her Birthday
She didn't disclose how old she was but said it was
over 65. How sweet!!!
She absolutely loves coming here because she
says our children are so well behaved.
