Today we have had quite a learning experience during our circle time. We have been talking a lot about our 5 senses, today we elaborated on sight. We talked about how some people could not see, I shared with them of my grandmother that was unable to see. She was blind for about 40 years. She did most everything for herself. Cooking cleaning and normal activities at home. We played a game where we covered our eyes with one hand and the person sitting next to us would bring a item for us to feel and try to guess what it was. We had such a good time playing this game. We sang the song "this old man" using our fingers for number play and did a activity with numbers and adding numbers and subtracting. We have really smart kids. Heading in now from this beautiful weather outside to eat grilled cheese sandwiches yum!

Who knows how these pictures are going to line up on this blog. But this is some from today. We had the story told of the five little pumkins sitting on the gate. We carved out our jack-o-lantern!!! Lite it up in a dark room !!! They had a blast touching the insides, feeling the texture, and we got real brave and pulled it all out. It was awesome...My son dropped in just long enough that Killian my grandbaby got his picture taken with our pumkin. I thought that some of the children would think the feel of the slimey inside would be just to gross, but it there wasnt that much complaining. They were ackually very interrested. This also goes along with our theme this week of using our senses. Touch being one of them. We took pride in coloring our pictures as well. They worked really hard and did a awesome job.

These pictures are random pic from the last few days. Last week our theme for the week was community places and people. We talked about grocery shopping, gas stations, libraries, and fire stations. Although our fire truck visit got cancelled because the fireman was ill. But he said he would reschedule.
This week our theme of the week is Senses. Today we talked about smelling things. We thought of some pretty awesome smells that we like, then we talked about some we dont like. Tanner's was the favorite food BACON, Yum!!! and then we all agreed on popcorn, so we made some. Going into the week we will discuss sight, hearing, feeling, and tasting.
The kids running on the play ground pictures, we had some leaves attached to our shirts. We ran fast to keep the leaves from falling off our chests. We pretended we were the tree trunk and our leaves were on our bodies.

Although the fire truck cancelled on us Thursday, we still put on our fire hats, went outside and had fun pretending we were rushing to put out fires. What a beautiful day.
The fireman was sick, so he will be calling back this week to reschedule. Sorry about that, but the kids didnt seem to disappointed and that was a good thing.
