Community Places and People

Our theme for this week is Community places and people. So today our discussion was about supermarkets.

We talked about what gets bought at the grocery store. Of course some of the discussion tried to turn toward the toy section. haha. We talked about what we purchase our food with, money or credit card. So we opened up our shopping cart, labeled our food and had a fun time shopping and spending our money.

Tuesday we will be talking about Gas Stations in our community. Wednesday will be Laundromats and washing our clothes. Thursday will be about our Library, along with this is the day the FIRE TRUCK comes to visit day care. And then following up on Friday with discussion about Barber and Beauty Shops.
Craft themes this week, we will be exploring and discovering the changing leaves/. We had talked about the changing leaves in circle time today and had a fabulous discussion. We walked out to the tree across the street. Every fall this hugh Maple tree starts turning orange in the same spot. By the end of a week the entire tree will be the most beautifullest orange and yellow tree. We took a picture of it today to compare with one we will take by Friday. Keep a watch it is absolutely georgious.!!!
